Tioga manufactures, rents and sells direct and indirect fired Air Heaters. Tioga began in Tioga, North Dakota in 1961. The original heater was designed to provide a livable climate on a drilling rig in some of the most severe weather conditions, where temperatures can drop to 50 degrees below zero. Our heaters, built to withstand the rigors of the oil and pipeline industry, have dominated the land and offshore drilling market. The first successful oil well on the north slope of Alaska was made possible because the rig had a Tioga Air Heater. The Trans Alaskan Pipeline was built and today is still maintained with the use of Tioga air heaters. Tioga's sales division manufactures direct and indirect fired heaters which use natural gas, propane, oil, electric and steam. They range from 250,000 to 6,000,000 BTU/hr. Our primary markets are oil and gas drilling, mining, painting and coating, and construction. We have been used by such drilling contractors as Parker, Nabors, and Rowan. Rig manufacturers such as IRI, Cardwell, LTV, and Dreco have specified Tioga heaters for their rigs. Our heaters have been used on land and offshore rigs in China, Russia, Argentina, Poland, Germany, Canada, Scotland and the Scandinavian countries. Because of our success in manufacturing heavy-duty equipment, we have expanded into the rental market. Tioga rents heaters to building contractors during the construction of new buildings. Painting contractors rent our heaters during the coating of steel tanks and bridges because our heaters blow 100% uncontaminated air and do not have an exposed flame. Pipeline companies rent our heaters when they repair and test gas and oil pipelines. Please check out the rest of our site for more detailed information on our products and services!
